We work to present information in ways that users can recognize and understand, including text alternatives, readable content, adaptable layouts, and sufficient visual contrast.
Accessibility

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility—not a one-time project.
Accessibility is an important part of how RQ Platform designs, develops, tests, and improves its digital experiences. Our goal is to reduce barriers and provide users with equitable access to information, forms, program activities, reviews, and administrative tools.
We consider accessibility throughout the product lifecycle and continue to evaluate our website and software using recognized standards, testing practices, and user feedback.
RQ Platform uses the four WCAG principles as a practical lens for designing and improving website and software experiences.
We work to present information in ways that users can recognize and understand, including text alternatives, readable content, adaptable layouts, and sufficient visual contrast.
We design navigation, forms, controls, and interactive elements to support keyboard use, clear focus indicators, appropriately sized controls, and sufficient time to complete activities.
We aim to provide consistent navigation, clear instructions, meaningful labels, helpful validation messages, and predictable interactions throughout the user experience.
We use structured, standards-based development practices intended to support modern browsers, assistive technologies, and a wide range of user devices.
These are examples of accessibility practices considered across the website, product interface, and program experiences.
Logical heading structures and page organization
Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls
Visible keyboard focus indicators
Descriptive page titles, links, buttons, and form labels
Alternative text for meaningful images
Sufficient colour contrast
Information that is not communicated through colour alone
Responsive layouts that support zoom and text resizing
Clear form instructions and error identification
Accessible status messages and validation feedback
Consistent navigation and interaction patterns
Support for screen readers and other assistive technologies
Appropriately sized and spaced interactive controls
Captions or transcripts for applicable multimedia
Reduced reliance on motion and flashing content
Ongoing accessibility testing and remediation
Specific accessibility features may vary by page, module, customer configuration, third-party integration, and the content entered by individual program administrators.
RQ Platform provides tools and design patterns intended to support accessible program experiences. Customers also play an important role in maintaining accessibility when configuring their programs and adding content.
Program administrators should use clear headings, meaningful link text, descriptive form labels, accessible documents, image descriptions, plain language, and sufficient colour contrast when creating or updating program content.
Our Customer Success team can provide guidance on accessibility considerations during program setup and configuration.
Guidance can help teams make better content, configuration, and document choices from the start.
Accessibility work continues through design, development, testing, feedback, and remediation.
01
Accessibility considerations are incorporated into interface design, content structure, reusable components, and development practices.
02
We use a combination of automated tools, keyboard testing, screen-reader review, responsive testing, and manual evaluation to identify potential barriers.
03
Reported issues are reviewed, prioritized, and addressed based on their impact, severity, and the needs of affected users.
Automated testing alone cannot identify every accessibility issue. RQ Platform combines automated checks with manual review and user feedback as part of its ongoing accessibility efforts.
Some RQ Platform experiences may include customer-created content, uploaded documents, external websites, embedded services, payment providers, analytics tools, or other third-party integrations.
Although we encourage accessible configurations and content, RQ Platform may not control the accessibility of every third-party product or external resource. We work with customers and technology partners to address accessibility concerns where reasonably possible.
RQ Platform uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, as the primary reference for its accessibility efforts. WCAG is an internationally recognized standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative.
